The Red River is Kentucky's only National Wild and Scenic River. The 19.2 mile stretch through the Red River Gorge received this distinct designation in 1994.

Visitors can experience the beauty and excitement of a canoe trip down one of nature's finest during its March–July season.

This wild and scenic river accompanied by area pedal and hydro boats, bumper boats, and a simulated river swimming complex all add up to fun in the sun at Kentucky’s Rockies.

Explore the rich history surrounding John Swift and the mystery that has eluded would-be treasure seekers for 250 years. After searching for your fortune, rent a canoe and paddle the Red River or just relax on a water tube. You may enjoy the scenery of the Gorge from a bicycle, also available for rent at the campground. However, a stroll on one of the many unforgettable hiking trails should not be missed.
